Wanted to buy Altec 604e or 604

Ok hoarders, I am looking to buy a set of Altec 604's. I am looking for 604e's but will condsider other 604's.

I have not seen a nice unmolested pair for sale, I know someone on here has a nice set, please share!

They are on eBay all the time.There are 2 pair there now,although they aren't cheap.This seller is a little high IMHO.GPA is selling 604's as well.

That 2000 dollar pair look about as good as they get.

Best deal on Feepay if you can handle the G model, I prefer it to the E. I like the newer frame better.

Yeah, I agree--a much better deal than $2000! I'd also recommend considering a brand new pair of 604-8H's from GPA. Here is some info on them---"radial wave phasing system" (tangerine style) /response to 20,000 hz.......

Pristine pairs of E's do appear on eBay. You will just have to wait and watch.
Those G's are a good buy.
Personally at this age, a pair will probably need a remag or recone anyway, esp if the E's haven't been stored correctly, as often most 'pristine' pairs have been stored.
GPA's new ones would be a go as well. They will be my next grab, to complement the E's and G's I have.
